(From Clark Funeral Home)Dolores Mae Jeffery was born February 17, 1937, in Neosho, one of three daughters. To Clyde B. and Orpha M. (Clark) Owens. She entered into rest on January 7, 2022, in the comfort of her home, following a short illness at the age of 84.
Dolores was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1956. She worked as a switchboard telephone operator and worked with her parents on their egg farm.
She owned Fantastic Ceramics with her mother and husband. They enjoyed setting up at the various arts, and crafts show around the area and meeting other crafters and the attending patrons. She was a dedicated caregiver to her husband and mother; she enjoyed doing ceramics and looked forward to her weekly hair appointments. Her greatest joy was her son, Clyde. Dolores and Billy Wayne Jeffery were married on July 5, 1958, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Clyde Jeffery of Neosho, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Geraldine and Hazel.
Graveside services will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 2 pm at the Gibson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home.
