(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Mooreen Leeneaun Jones 87, of Keokuk, Iowa died 4:00pm Thursday January 6, 2022 at the River Hill Village Nursing Home following an illness.
Mooreen was born February 12, 1934 in Crestline, KS the daughter of Vernon Zane and Leafy Jessie (Randall) Gaston. She attended and graduated from area schools.
On December 21, 1951 Mooreen married Walter Thomas Jones in Arkansas; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2015.
Mooreen worked as a homemaker; a book-keeper for Tom Jones Roofing; Avon Beauty products and the Parsons Ammunition Plant. Mooreen was a member of the First Christian Church; she loved gambling and her grandkids.
Survivors include her children Linda McCoy of Owasso, OK, Deborah Coffey and husband Kenny of Carterville, MO, Thomas Jones of Keokuk, IA and Darla West and husband John of Charlotte, NC; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mooreen was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant son Thomas Jones.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS with Pastor Al Plant officiating. Burial will follow at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, KS.
