Betty Lynn Smith of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life Monday, January 10, 2022 at her home. She was 67.

Betty was born October 6, 1954 in Baxter Springs, KS to Robert Edward and Helen Beatrice (Simpson) Williams. She had lived in the Baxter Springs, Galena, and Quapaw, OK area most of her life. She graduated from Quapaw High School class of 1972 and was a member of the Highway Tabernacle Church in Quapaw, OK. Betty had worked in housekeeping at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK and for Quapaw Schools and Ace Electric in Columbus, KS.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bob W. Bailey on October 12, 1999 and her parents.

She married Ernest Ray Smith, Jr. on June 7, 2003 and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include 1 son, Trampas Williams and wife Lucinda of Galena, KS, 1 step-son, Melvin Killion of Marshfield, MO, 3 step-daughters, Ashley Nearing and husband Chris of Carl Junction, MO, Angie Botts and husband Wade of Miami, OK and Karla Wisdon and husband Don of Miami, OK, 1 brother Robert “Bub” Williams of Quapaw, OK, 3 sisters, Sharell Price of Baxter Springs, KS, Debbie Bunce of Baxter Springs, KS and Patty Lodwick of Grove, OK, 4 grandchildren, Raevyn Williams, Ryley Williams, Brenleigh Newman and Conor Botts and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Ray Clonts will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Lee Simpson, Jess Simpson, Conor Botts, Gustin Williams, Scotty Roy and Keko Wammack will serve as pallbearers.
