Neill Larson

David “Neill” Larson, age 71, of Carthage, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Oak Point of Carthage.

Neill, son of the late Carl and Helen (Righthouse) Larson, was born on November 28, 1950 in Joplin. He grew up and attended his school age years in Joplin, graduating from Joplin High School in 1968. 

Soon after he attended MSSU and then began his career in hotel management. 








Neill was the manager for several distinguished hotel chains in the southern states until he returned to Branson as a hotel manager. After his retirement, he then moved back to the Joplin area to be closer to his family. When Neill wasn’t working, he enjoyed time spent outdoors on the lake fishing and playing golf.

Survivors include his children, Michael David Larson, of TX, and Carlie Danielle Larson, of AL; three grandchildren, Mike Larson, Cash Larson, and Michaela Larson; two sisters, Linda Unser, and her husband, Ron, of Joplin, and Rachel Williams, and her husband, Steve, of Kansas City; and several extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Carl Larson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday beginning at 3:00 PM until service time at the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
