Debbie Pfeifly

Deborah Lee Pfeifly, 63, Joplin, entered into rest on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. 

Debbie was born July 28, 1958, in Reading, Pennsylvania and graduated for Exeter High School in Reading. She continued her education at Crowder College earning an associate degree and then at MSSU, earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. 








 

She had worked at Crowder College and then for the State of Missouri, Children’s Support Services, until her retirement in April 2021. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, camping, going to the beach and traveling. She was a member of the Christ Community Methodist Church in Joplin. 

On November 26, 1983, Debbie and Darrin Pfeifly were united in marriage at Reading, Pennsylvania and Darrin survives. 

In addition to her husband of 38 years, she is survived by a daughter, Heather Enger and husband, Troy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Brycen, Caleb and Carter; her father, Ted Anthony of Denver, Colorado and brother, Corey Anthony of Denver, Colorado. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Smith. 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Contributions in memory of Debbie may be made to the Joplin Humane Society, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri.
