Betty Lauridsen

Betty N. (Sutter) Lauridsen of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Communities of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin. 

She was born in Diamond, Missouri, to the late George and Emma Lou (Greninger) Sutter and graduated from Diamond High School. Betty grew up in Diamond and moved to Neosho in the 1950s where she resided until moving to Joplin, for the past few years. 









She loved music and was a proficient piano player, playing for local churches for many years. She was a homemaker and currently a member of the Park Plaza Christian Church, in Joplin.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Lauridsen) Hatfield; son Chris (Karen) Lauridsen; four grandchildren, Janelle Griego, Lisa Daniels, Lindsey Kilby and Scott Lauridsen; six great-grandchildren, and many dear family and friends.








Her husband Niels Levern Lauridsen preceded her in death on August 20, 2009. Three brothers, and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Diamond Cemetery with B.A. Austin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Plaza Christian Church, 3220 Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO 64804.
