Cricket Warren

Mary Virginia ‘Cricket’ Warren was born August 20, 1928, in Seneca, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd J. and Gertrude C. (Hierholzer) Warren. She went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on September 28, 2022, at the age of 94. 


Cricket was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Canera Catholic Church. She was an avid gardener who loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a talented seamstress and excellent baker, known for her pies. One of her greatest joys was being with her family, and she was very selfless caring for others. 








Cricket and Woodrow ‘Woody’ Warren were married on April 30, 1948 in Bentonville, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2010. 

Cricket is survived by her daughter, Michelle Warren Gee, and husband, David of Vero Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, John Gee, Isabella Gee, Christina Warren, Adrian Crain, and Jeremy Warren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Bynorth, Betty VanDorn, and Carolyn Beaver and one brother, Larry Ritter. 

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, John Warren; her parents; two sisters, Anna Mae Ellis and Bernice Johnson and three brothers, James, Maurice, and Leonard Ritter.
