(From Parker Mortuary)Thomas Edward Donahoe, Jr., 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 17, 2022. He was born in Joplin, Missouri on February 10, 1937 to Thomas E. Donahoe and Hazel (DuPlantier) Donahoe.
He attended St. Mary’s and St. Peter’s Catholic Schools, before graduating from Joplin High School in 1955. He furthered his education at The Missouri School of Mines at Rolla, graduating in 1960.
After six years working for the Missouri Highway Department in Joplin and Kansas City, he began his career with the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs in Muskogee, Oklahoma as a highway design engineer until he retired in January, 1992.
In 1984, Tom became reacquainted with Sue Wright whom he knew from high school. They married in Muskogee in 1987, and were blessed with many years together until Sue’s passing in early 2021. They shared a love of gardening, traveling, serving at their local catholic church, and participating in the parish RCIA program. Tom had a fondness for his pet bulldog, and Sue’s two cats. He was a man of faith, with a kind, gentle soul. He had a true servant’s heart, and he was the perfect caregiver for his wife as she battled a life long tremor disease. He was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue, his parents, and his sister, Mary Lou Kendrick, with whom he had a sweet, life-long bond.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Charles “Bud” Kendrick of Greensboro, North Carolina, stepchildren, Robert (Terri) Davidson, Jr. of Joplin, Leslie Lohse of Joplin, and Leisha (David) Spencer of Trinity, Florida and their families, and a host of cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:00am at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, Missouri with Father Joe Weidenbenner officiating. Friends may pay respects on Wednesday and Thursday at Parker Mortuary during normal business hours.
