Sabra Sesler

Sabra Sue Sesler, age 70, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Sabra, daughter of Wilbur “Gene” and Carol (Howerton) Morris, was born on August 21, 1952 in Joplin. As a child she lived in various areas but later in life returned to the Joplin area to make her home. 

She was united in marriage to Guy Earl Sesler, Jr., together they celebrated 43 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2018.

 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a gifted artist, mostly in oil painting, but her talents were also diverse from sewing to cooking. Her most enduring qualities were her wit, charm, and sense of humor that her family will deeply miss.

Survivors include her mother, Carol Morris; children, Candis Wilson, and Sherry Sesler; her bother, Steve Morris; sisters, Kathy Morris, Sherrie Walkey, and Angie Lemmons; grandchildren, Emilie Henson, Noelan Hensley, Derek Sesler, Ella Sesler; one great grandchild, Logan Henson; and several nieces, nephews, and loving extended family members. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Gene Morris, and one son, Guy E. Sesler III.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
