(From Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home)Robert (Bob) Keith Humphreys, 86, of Camarillo, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, He was born in Los, Angeles, California on March 30, 1936. Attending Jordan High School in Long Beach, California, he graduated in 1953.
Bob was a businessman in sheet metal sales for more than 60 years. He enjoyed participating in and watching sports.
As a track and field team member he competed in the 1960 Panama Games in Mexico. He continued to compete in track and field events throughout his life, including many competitions in World Masters Athletics Championships. He was also a placekicker for the Denver Broncos in 1967 and 1968. He was an active and well-loved member of Camarillo Community Church for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, June Humphreys, Camarillo, CA, sister-in-law Lynette Morgan, Richardson, TX, son Rodney Humphreys, Salome, AZ, daughter Kristie and son-in-law Thomas Huckeba, Stella, MO, grandchildren, Robert Huckeba, San Diego, CA, Kyle and Ashley Huckeba, Fayetteville, AR, Melody and Chandon Springer, Ponchatoula, LA, Thomas Huckeba lll, Stella, MO, nieces, Heather Morgan, Nashville, TN, Meredith Morgan and Shawn Rodriguez, Richardson, TX, four great-grandchildren, and one great niece.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Keith E. and Grace V. Humphreys, and brother-in-law, John Morgan.
A Celebration of Life was held at Alma Via of Camarillo, on Thursday, September 23rd, where friends and family gathered together. Arrangements were under the direction of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home, with Daniel Aguiar, Pastor of Alma Via of Camarillo, officiating.
