(From Knell Mortuary)Tirso Saldivar, 77, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, September 13, 2022, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Tirso was born January 28, 1945, in Plan del Sauz, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of the late Pablo Saldivar and Nieves Villalobos. He worked for Butterball and Leggett & Platt in Carthage.
Tirso married the love of his life, Maria D. Olazaba. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Carthage.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Saldivar; five children, Maria Marroquin (Jose), Israel Saldivar (Maria), Araceli Gomez (Oscar), Juan Saldivar (Thais), and Pablo Saldivar (Pamela Kingsbury); fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral mass will be held 10 am, Monday, September 19, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Carthage. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Carthage. A rosary will be held 3 pm, Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, with visitation to immediately follow until 5 pm.
