(From Clark Funeral Home)Charles L. “Chuck” Hixson, Jr., was born December 23, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, one of three children to Charles L. Hixson, Sr. and Lois Nadine Hixson. He entered into rest on September 20, 2022, at the age of 74.
Chuck graduated from Joplin High School and MSSU in Joplin with a bachelor's degree. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1967 – 1969.
Chuck was Vice President and CFO for Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Great Outdoors Grill. He volunteered his time with the DAV and local shelters. Chuck loved watching his grandchildren's sports and enjoyed traveling, hiking and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Todd Laney and wife, Stephanie of Neosho, Missouri, and Matt Hixson and wife, Marla of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandchildren, Fallon, Alexa, Bryce, and Olivia; great-grandson, Liam; one brother, Matt Hixson, and wife, Mary of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jackie Long.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
