(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Sylvia Lois (Hair) Fairchild, 86, of Jane, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas, with her loving family by her side.
Sylvia entered this life on November 18, 1935 in Coushatta, Louisiana, born to the late, Kermit and Opal (King) Haire, along with three sisters and one brother.
She loved to quilt and crochet, gardening in her flowerbeds, spending time with here grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
On October 15, 1954, she was united in marriage to Edwin L. Fairchild, and to this union three children were born, Sherry, Ed, and Kelly. They resided in South Louisiana until 1969 when they moved their family to Jane, Missouri and purchased a farm.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin L. Fairchild; her daughter, Sherry Cooper, and a sister, Eunice Bass.
She is survived by her son Ed Fairchild and wife, Lillian, of Jane, Missouri; her daughter, Kelly Fairchild, of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sharon, Ashlie, Jennifer, Baker, and Kimber; Eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Mehan of Saint Mary’s, Georgia, and Shirley Rainwater, of Zachary, Louisiana; a brother, Reginald Haire, of Goldonna, Louisiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Leo Lenz will Officiate. Burial will follow the funeral service at Jane Cemetery in Jane, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
