Dixie Highfill

Dixie Lea Highfill, of Everton, MO, departed this life on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 84.

She was born on December 12, 1937 in Dade County, MO to Clarence and Evelyn (Toler) Hall. Dixie graduated from Dadeville High School. 

She was united in marriage to Clark Bias in December of 1957 and to this union two children were born, Steve and Vicki. Clark passed away in 1969. 








Dixie married Vernie “De” Highfill in September of 1970 and to this union a daughter was born, Tamatha.

Dixie loved her Lord and Savior. She was an active member of the Fairview Baptist Church. Dixie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Hall; her first husband, Clark Bias; her second husband, Vernie “De” Highfill; two brothers, Tom Hall and Daniel Hall; and one grandchild, Delaney Little.








Survivors include one son, Steve Bias and wife Vicki; two daughters, Vicki Conquest and husband Cliff and Tamatha Little and husband Scott; one step-son, Harold Highfill; one sister, Mary B. Garwood; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. until service time in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hampton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
