A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Robert W. “Bob” Kemp, 69, of Sarcoxie, MO, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
He was born on January 11, 1949 to Bob and Mary Kemp. Bob graduated from Lockwood High School, and attended NEO in Miami, OK. Bob married Brenda Ogden on January 24, 1969. He worked for MODOT for four years and Missouri Southern State University for 26 years. Bob raised cattle and horses. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Bob loved his family, his farm, visiting and telling stories, as well as going to his grandchildren’s ballgames.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Kemp; two sons, Mike Kemp and wife Lisa of Topeka, KS and Marc Kemp of Sarcoxie, MO; one daughter, Marla Kemp and Andy Miller of Greenfield, MO; eight grandchildren, Brandon Kemp, Sierra Kemp, Taylor Kemp, Jordon Miller, Morgan Reed, Macy Wilson, Trenton Wilson, and Drew Miller; three great-grandchildren, Noah Kemp, Harley Kemp, and Hadley Miller; one sister, Ruth Ann Danzl and husband Richard of Buffalo, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, in Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Greenfield First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Booster Club.
