Pearl Veronica Nappier, 91, of Athens, Texas (formerly of Carthage) entered into eternal rest on Thursday July 12, 2018 while at her home in Athens. She was born in Mapletown, Pennsylvania on June 22, 1927; the daughter of the late Stephen and Erma (Popovich) Bodi. She was united in marriage on March 16, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Wendell Nappier; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1981.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage, Missouri.
Pearl is survived by one son: James Nappier and his wife Wendy of Carthage; three daughters: Christina Hummell and her husband John of Athens, Texas, Judy Self and her husband Pete of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Wendy Nappier of Plano, Texas; five grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary, Alex, Alexandra, and Hannah.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Stephen and Erma; her husband Wendell and one granddaughter: Jessica Self.
Graveside services for Pearl are being held on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Father Nicholas Nappier officiating.
Memorial donations for Pearl may be made to the American Heart Association or the Disabled American Veteran’s Fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
