Theo Coulter

Theodore ‘Theo’ Coulter, 96, Neosho, entered into rest on July 14, 2018 in Neosho, following a sudden illness. 

 Theo was born Aug. 20, 1921 in Joplin, MO, one of six children to T. Frank and Ella (Gary) Coulter. Theo served in the U.S. Army, 1942-1945, serving in the 203rd general hospital and was at Normandy on D Day during the landing. He owned and operated Coulter Feed and Supply in Diamond for many years. 

 Theo married Margaret (Morris) on Jan. 20, 1946 in Diamond and she survives. Theo and Margaret were active in the Habitat for Humanity program and served both nationally and internationally supporting that mission. They were active over 30 years with Meals on Wheels and in 2006, were the recipients of the Exchange Club ‘Golden Deeds’ award. Theo was a member of the Neosho First Christian Church where he served as Elder Emeritus and had been an active member serving in all areas, but especially active and supportive of the youth.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, Theo is survived by four nephews and twelve nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Gene and Phil; two sisters, Charlotte and LaMora; and two nieces.

Services will be Wed., July 18, 2018 at 2 pm at the First Christian Church in Neosho, Rev. Al Gritten will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1 pm until service time.
