Katrina Kay Barnes, age 53, of Joplin, passed away Monday July 9, 2018 at her residence.
She was born December 31, 1964 in Santa Rosa, CA to Carolyn Wilson and the late Lonnie Wilson.
Katrina married Randall Barnes on September 28, 2000 in Eureka Springs, AR. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2010.
In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Dee and Marilynn Barnes.
She was currently employed at Eagle Picher Technologies. She had previously worked at Bagcraft and Jasper Products.
Katrina was a very loving person not only to her family, but her animals held a special place in her heart.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, James Tolson and wife, Jennifer, Springfield, MO; two daughters, Courtney Nunnaley and husband, Christopher, Carl Junction and Hunter Barnes, Fayetteville, AR; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Schaefer, Murray, KY. and Jason Wilson, Carthage; three sisters, Jennifer Golden and Christy Wilson, both of Carthage, and Tiffany Bettes and husband, Jason, Granby, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Celebration Church, 4500 E. 32nd St, Joplin. Pastor Brandon Dorris will officiate. Burial will be at Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joplin Human Society and left in care of the mortuary.
