Richard (Dick) Bauer age 75 of Webb City passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018 at his home.
Richard was born November 23, 1942 in Joplin the son of Cecil H. Bauer and Len (Hobson) Bauer. Dick worked 22 years for Vickers and he then enjoyed 20 years of working at Newman’s Auto Sales before retiring. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, Webb City High School Football, and most important is the love he had for his family and friends.
Richard was united in marriage to Rosalee J. Meddock May 1963 in Webb City. She preceded him in death June 16, 2015. He is survived by one son, David and his wife Teresa of Webb City, brother, Shawn and his wife Marsha of Webb City, two grandsons, Travis Bauer, Dakota Bauer; and six great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kabrey, Luke, Kaylor, Levi, and Rosalee. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sue Schnake, and infant son John Neal Bauer.
The family will be present for a visitation on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A graveside service will be held following the visitation on Monday at 11:30 AM at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin with Pat Nixon officiating.
