Roselyn Mary Seidl, age 79, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Monday July 16, 2018, at the Communities of Wildwood Ranch, following a long illness.
Roselyn was born on May 9, 1939 in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of the late Hugo and Hedwig (Renze) Wessling. She graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll, Iowa. She married Leo Seidl, on August 28, 1957 in Dedham, Iowa. Together they raised four children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. She worked in retail sales and she retired as a CNA home healthcare worker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Roselyn is survived by her husband of sixty years, Leo Seidl, Joplin, Mo.; two sons, Dr. David Seidl and wife Becky, Joplin, Mo., and Terry Seidl and wife Lori, Norwalk, Ia.; two daughters, Deb Anliker and husband Jay, Wausau, Wi., and Rhonda Seidl, Clive, Ia.; two brothers, John Wessling and wife Susan, Carroll, Ia., and George Wessling and wife Phyl, Garner, Ia.; one sister, Sister Darlene Wessling, Lowell, Mi.; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Reverend Joseph Weidenbenner will officiate. She will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in Dedham, Iowa.
A Rosary service will be held from 6:00-6:30 p.m. Friday with a visitation to follow from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the National Parkinson Foundation in care of the mortuary.
