Willard S. Murawski, 89, Carthage, MO, passed away early Thursday morning, July 19, 2018 at Maple Tree Terrace, Carthage, with family by his side.
Willard Sylvester Murawski was born May 4, 1929 in Hannibal, MO to the late Victor Jerome Murawski and Christine (Roszak) Murawski. He was a graduate of McCooey High School.
Willard married Beatrice Donnel on April 3, 1959 in Carthage, MO; she survives. Willard was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He started work asa switchman for Southwestern Bell and retired after 42 years. Willard enjoyed tinkering, fishing, and inventing. He was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Carthage.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice, one daughter, Julie Sheldon (husband Bob), Joplin, MO; one son, Randy Murawski (wife Lori), Springfield, MO; one brother, Gene Murawski; one sister, Catherine Murawski; and one grandchild, Benjamin Yada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jerry and Donald Murawski.
Graveside services will be held 10 am, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to Disabled American Veterans in care of Knell Mortuary.
