Dorothy Kay (Boss) Filbeck returned to her heavenly home on July 7, 2018.
Dorothy was born on March 16, 1924, to Ora and Georgia Boss. She was united in marriage to Willard Filbeck in December of 1951. She was a loving mother and granny who enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family. Dorothy was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she considered the members also as her family. After her retirement from Justin Boot, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; daughter-in-law, Carol Ellis; two granddaughters, Vicki Lee and Gayla Ellis; and one great-granddaughter.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children, Buddy Ellis of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Judy Lee and husband, Ralph, of Reeds, Missouri; her grandchildren, Lisa Lee, Janet Peterson, Brannon Ellis, Rick Ellis and Crystal Owonubi; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Filbeck are 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Avilla Cemetery, Avilla, Missouri, with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating.
