Jerry W. Huckelbery, 70, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest July 14, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital.
Jerry Wayne Huckelbery was born October 2, 1947 in Webb City, MO the son of Esker B. and Ollie Lorraine (Curry) Huckelbery. "Huck" as he was called loving by his family and friends, lived in the area most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran. Jerry was a truck driver as an owner / operator. He formerly drove a bus for Jefferson Bus Lines in Joplin, he owned and operated several business over the years.
Jerry Wayne Huckelbery married Sharon Kay Stoner February 14, 1969 in Seneca, MO and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son Matthew S Huckelbery, Abu Dhabi, UAE; one daughter Jill Slankard and husband Paul, Seneca; two granddaughters, Brooke Thomas and husband Jeremy, Joplin and Kristen Slankard and fiance' Billie Freer, Joplin; siblings, Sharon Trotter and husband David, Joplin and Kim Loftin, Joplin: two great-grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Lorraine Huckelbery-Shuey and his father Esker B. Huckelbery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Blendville Christian Church, Joplin, with Tim Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with David Trotter, Paul Slankard, Billie Freer, Jeremy Thomas, Rod Tyndall, Jacob Steele, Tim Campbell and Colby Loftin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Tyndall and Tom Greer.
