Frank Lee Boyd, 93 years, of Jay, Oklahoma, formerly of Noel, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born on March 28, 1925 in Choteau, Oklahoma, son of the late Willis and Daisy (Estes) Boyd. He proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Corporal and a Sergeant in the United States Air Force serving in World War II and the Korean War. Frank was a 70-year member of the American Legion and was the founder of the American Legion in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. He married Billie Sellers on December 18, 1948. Frank owned and operated the Landon and Boyd Vickers Station in Noel, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Boyd; son-in-law, Randy Cowger; a grandchild and 10 siblings.
Frank is survived by his children, Phyllis Romine and husband, Bill of Southwest City, Missouri, Pam Cowger of Pineville, Missouri, Pat Howe and husband, Richard Lee of Jay, Oklahoma, Ronnie Boyd and wife, Carolyn of Rogersville, Missouri, Steven Boyd and wife, Sarah of Pineville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and lots of friends who will dearly miss Frank.
A private burial of Frank and his wife, Billie will be held at a later date in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Noel, Missouri.
