Carol Humphrey

Carol J. Humphrey, 76, of Dennis, formerly of Anderson, Missouri, passed away at 12:53 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Labette Health in Parsons.

She was born on October 15, 1942 at Stella, Missouri to Norman and Norma (Fullerton) Drake. She grew up at Granby and attended schools there graduating from Granby High School. She attended business school in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree in accounting.

She lived in various places in the four states area and also in California before residing in Anderson, Missouri. She worked as bookkeeper for various businesses over the years.
Carol recently moved to Parsons and then Dennis.

Carol enjoyed going to senior dances, collecting wolf figurines and Indian collectibles. She loved being in the outdoors and had a goat farm when she lived in Anderson.

Carol and Gerald Sturm were married at Granby, Missouri. They later divorced. She and Robert “Bobby” Brooks were married. They later divorced. She and Carmon Humphrey were married and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2015. She then married William G. “Bill” Scott, Jr. and he survives of the Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, William Sturm of Neosho, MO; two daughters, Beverly Girdner of Neosho, MO and Michelle Sillars of the Vancouver, WA area; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Kirk of Fayetteville, AR and Linda Hobson of Granby, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Sturm and her parents.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the Mayfield Cemetery near Anderson, Missouri at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.wallfuneralservices.com.
