Jimmy Fry

Jimmy Ray Fry of Quapaw, OK passed from this life on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 71.

Jimmy was born January 1, 1947 in Treece, KS to George Wyley and Geneva Pearl (Barr) Fry. He had lived in the Quapaw area for 38 years. He graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, KS in 1965.

Jimmy worked at FAG Bearing in Joplin, MO as a quality control inspector. He served 6 years with Oklahoma National Guard. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Wyandotte, OK.

Jimmy married Kathy Marie Goodnight on April 3, 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jarrod Spears and a son-in-law, Kevin M. Morrow.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Kathy Fry of the home, 2 sons, Nick Fry and wife Heather of Quapaw, OK and Jimmy Ray Fry, Jr. of Neosho, MO, 2 daughters, Rayanna O'Neil and husband Steve of Quapaw, OK and Jana Myers and husband Robert of Riverton, KS, 2 brothers, Danny Fry of St. Louis, MO and Richard Fry of Miami, OK, 2 sisters, Sharon Hames of Commerce, OK and Gloria Luna of Houston, TX, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his special companion Sarge.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK with Rev. Gary Rhoades officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, northwest of Treece, KS with Nick Fry, Richard Dutton, Kevin Morrow, Max Morrow, Christian Myers and Arno Graves serving as pallbearers. Logan Lanning will serve as a honorary pallbearer. Military honors will bee conducted by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
