(From Clark Funeral Home)Judith Howerton, born in Wheaton, MO on February 2 of 1944, passed into heaven on Saturday, January 15th, 2022.
She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother, always putting her children’s needs ahead of her own. She spent her life in service to the Lord having committed her life to Him in her early 20s.
She wrote poetry and loved to sing. Working in her yard and tending to her flowers made her smile, almost as much as holding the new additions to the family.
She is loved and will be missed by her surviving children; Melissa Sanders, Robert Howerton, Michelle Fisher, Marsha Whitford and husband James, Stephen Howerton and wife Julie, Michael Howerton, Matthew Howerton and wife Tobi, and Curtis Howerton and wife Mandy as well as 26 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by two nephews and her brother, Wendell Jones.
She was preceded in death by her firstborn son, Shon, granddaughter Kristen and great-granddaughter Destiny, her husband Ivan, and her parents Roy and Mabel Jones.
Visitation is from 4:30 to 6:00 pm on Thursday the 20th at Clark’s Funeral Home in Neosho. The funeral will be at 1 pm on Friday, the 21st at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
