(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Rosa ( Roach) Duvall, age 79, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Friday January 14, 2022, at her home.
Rosa daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Manzella) Roach, was born on March 14, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas.
On December 14, 1965, she was united in marriage to William Henry Max Duvall in Joplin, Missouri.
She had a mother’s caring heart for her family and friends. She served as a Girl Scout leader for many years.
She worked at Keller’s BBQ for several years. She also worked at West Central Elementary, Nation Mills and Oxford Health Care for 12 years until her health declined.
She enjoyed knitting to which she would donate hats and shawls for cancer patients for Freeman Advantage. Rosa and Henry also loved going to Silver Dollar City for the last 57 years. She was a honorary member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, daughter, Nancy Hight-Morris and husband Dennis, Carl Junction, Missouri, son, Danny DuVall and wife Amber, Joplin, Missouri, sister, Theresa Bush and husband Nathan Bush Jr., Richland, Missouri; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 18, 2022, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00 (Noon) – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
