Aubrey Leroy Price, age 91, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Webb City Health and Rehab, Webb City MO.
Mr Price was born March 14, 1925 on a farm near Welch, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of 13 children born to Hiram and Lucy (Keller) Price. He had lived in Oswego since 1964, moving from Hallowell, KS.
He hauled milk for Kraft Foods and later owned, operated and managed several different service stations in Oswego. He is fondly remembered by many for giving them bubble gum when their parents bought gas from him.
He was once active in the community, coaching Little League baseball, serving on the Little League board, being elected and serving on the Oswego City Council and on the Westside Homes Board of Directors. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Oswego, KS.
Aubrey was married to Bonita Goves on September 22, 1948 in Oswego, KSA. She preceded him in death September 20, 2013, just 2 days short of their 65th wedding anniversary. Two sons, Richard Price and Ricky L Price also preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Kay Glendenning, Oswego, KS; a son, Kenneth Price and wife, Patti, Webb City, MO; four grandchildren, Melissa Torchia and husband, David, Angela Price, Sean and Allison Price. He has four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, April 18, 2016 at McKee Cemetery, north of Hallowell, KS. Pastor Bob Conway will officiate.
Viewing hours will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Sunday April 17, 2016 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Oswego, KS.
