Kenneth Lee Meyer, age 54, Carl Junction, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital after a sudden illness.
Kenneth was born September 25, 1961 in Blue Valley, Missouri to the late Paul F. Meyer and Helen Lamberson Meyer and had lived in Carl Junction most of his life.
He worked as a farmer all of his life and was also a welder. Kenneth was a member and past president (8 years) of the Jasper County Beef Producers Association, member of the National Cattleman's Association, caretaker of Pleasant Hill Cemetery and faithful member of New Hope Church.
He married Diana Mayberry on July 15, 1994 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his son, Jacob Meyer, Carl Junction; an uncle, Lloyd 'Bill' Lamberson, Branson; two cousins and several other extended family members.
Services are planned for Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Randy Steele and Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North of Joplin. Pallbearers will be Mike Woods, Tommy Woods, Scott Mayberry, James Marconi, Jr., Steven Fredrickson and Carl Dean Martin. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Church, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, or towards an education fund at Fidelity Investments for his son, Jacob.
