Dorothy Mae Gourley, age 89 of Galena, Kansas passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Communities of Wildwood, Joplin.
Dorothy was born May 10, 1926 in Junction City, Kansas to the late George W. McClain and Ella Johnson. She was a homemaker for many years but later retired from Citizen State Bank of Galena after 20 years of making sure it was always clean and ready for their customers.
Dorothy married Alfred 'Joe' Gourley and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2013. Additionally she was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Surviving Dorothy are daughters, Karen Channel and husband, Bill of Joplin, Kathy Porter and husband, Dave of Galena, Mary Jane Mills and husband, Dave of Flat Rock, Michigan; son, Joe Paluskas and wife, Shannon of Coopersville, Michigan; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Graveside services to honor both Dorothy and Joe will take place on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Galena.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
