Dennis W. De Motta Jr., age 42, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 7:18 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Dennis was born August 31, 1973 in Hilo Hawaii and had lived in Webb City for eight years, moving here from Springfield, Mo. Dennis was employed with Jasper Products in Joplin in the Packaging Dept. Dennis was a graduate of St. Joe High School in Hilo, Hawaii, and also was a graduate of Ozarks Technical School in Springfield. He was a member of Christ’s Church of Oronogo.
Dennis married Amy House March 20, 2010 in Kona Hawaii and she survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Isaac De Motta, Springfield, Mo., and Garritt Pearish, Webb City, Mo., two daughters, Kaitlynn De Motta Springfield, Mo., and Jessika Puckett, Webb City, Mo., his Mother, Martina De Motta, Hilo, Hawaii, and three brothers, Scot De Motta, Honolulu, Hawaii, Marc De Motta and wife Melissa, East Dubuque, Illinois, and Erik De Motta and wife Teresa, Niceville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his Father, Dennis W. De Motta Sr.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Christ’s Church of Oronogo with Ryan Springer officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the Church. Following cremation there will be a Memorial Service at a later date in Hawaii. Memorial contributions are requested to the De Motta Medical Expense Fund at Community Bank And Trust in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
