Edna Green

Edna Marie Green, 84, Neosho, died April 13, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a short illness. 

 Edna was born Sept. 7, 1931 in Tekamah, Nebraska and moved to Neosho in 1958 from Kansas City, Missouri. In 1968, she began working for Vanda Beauty Counselor and worked with that organization for nearly 50 years eventually becoming a distributor with customers throughout the United States. She loved to cook, quilt, paint, garden, and collect antiques. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the WMU. 

Edna married Carl Martin Green on June 24, 1950 in Lebanon, Missouri and he survives. Additional survivors include three sons, Mike Green and wife, Pam of Republic, Missouri; Brent Green and wife, Brenda of Springfield, Missouri; and Bart Green and wife, Catherine of Naperville, Illinois; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Deckard and wife, Dorothy.
