Gene L. Terry, 91 of Carthage, MO passed away April 13, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Gene was born January 6, 1925 in Johns Town, Nebraska to Clyde Everett Terry and Mary Hayes. Gene was a tax accountant and owned and operated Terry Accountant and Tax Service for several years. He attended Cross Roads Baptist church and was a very devoted Christian. Gene served in the United States Army and was in the Battle of the Bulge in the 106th Infantry division, May 22, 1943 to December 1944.
Gene was united in marriage to Wilma Jeanne Snider December 24, 1952 in Aurora, MO. she survives. Gene is survived by six sons John Terry (Karol) of Carthage, MO, Stephen Terry (Charretta) of Bonney Lake, WA. Philip Terry (Anita) of Heber Springs, AR., Mark Terry (Lisa) of Lafayette, LA., Thomas Terry (Cara) of Carthage, MO., and Joel Terry (Lori) of Carthage, MO., one brother Everett Terry of Denver, one sister Martha Durham of Bakersfield, MO., twenty six grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Gene is preceded in death by his parent’s one brother and one sister.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday April 18, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 17, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery Carthage, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
