Carolle N. Harpool, age 87, Joplin, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Communities of Wildwood after an illness.
Carolle was born November 27, 1932 in Joplin to the late Roy E. Cope and Daisy Welch Cope and had lived in Joplin all of her life.
Carolle graduated from the former Joplin Junior College in 1952 with a degree in business. She worked at the Jasper County Court House as the State Deputy Circuit Clerk, retiring in 1995.
A member of First Baptist Church in Joplin, she was also a past member of the Joplin Chorale Society. Carolle loved flowers and plants, music and playing her organ. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Carolle married Dan Harpool on June 3, 1952 in Joplin. He preceded her in death March 31, 1972.
Carolle was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Harpool; two daughters, Dana Farrar and Janine Moses; brother-in-law, Donald Holley; nephew, Donald Holley, Jr.; and niece, Diane Holley.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Harpool and wife, Diane, Webb City; a sister, Gloria Holley, Nixa; five grandchildren, Darcy Moses, Cayla Harpool, Carollea Zimmerman, Stephanie Ebbinghaus and Aaron Farrar; several great grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a niece, Denise Carter; and extended family members.
Graveside interment of ashes will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Osborne Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
