Terri Louise (Burkybile) Durbin, age 60 passed away at 5:35 am Monday, June 15, 2020 at her home following an illness.
Terri was born March 30, 1960 in Carthage, MO. Her parents were Phil Dean Burkybile SR and Joyce Ann (Beckner) Burkybile. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.
She graduated with the Galena High Class of 1978. She worked as an inspector at Quality Interconnect in Galena for the past 37 years. Terri was a Christian. She was actively involved in the Galena Girls Softball Association. Her favorite pastimes were reading, facebook, fishing and camping. Her greatest joys were her kids and grandkids, and her fur baby named Bella Ann Durbin.
Terri was married to Mike E Durbin on November 8, 1996 at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, NV. He survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Hoover (Partner, Brittany Dixon), Miami, OK; two sons, Chad Cole (wife, Sarah), Joplin, MO, and Brad Cole (wife, Amanda) Baxter Springs, KS; her father, Phil Burkybile Sr, Galena, KS; one brother, Phil Burkybile Jr (wife, Teresa), Seneca, MO; one sister, Jerri Garrison (husband, Bill), Quapaw, OK; 6 grandchildren, Garret Castor, Montanna Lansaw, Vada Cole, Ethan Durbin, Erica Hoover, and Jaxson Cole; and her two best friends, Karla Avicola, Joplin, MO and Susan Conradt, St Charles, MO.
She was preceded in death by one son, Eric Durbin and her mother, Joyce Burkybile.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Jarrod Jones and John Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Ottawa Indian Cemetery, Quapaw, OK.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 1 , 2020 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
