Bobby Lee Chastain, age 64, of Monett, MO, passed away on Monday morning, June 15, 2020, while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Bobby was born on August 25, 1955 in Joilet, IL son of the late Logan Robert and Mary Louise (White) Chastain. Bobby was employed by the City of Monett and retired in 2004. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Monett. He enjoyed bass fishing at the area lakes.
On April 24, 1978, Bobby married Linette Cole. They have been blessed with countless wonderful memories made together.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Linette, of the home; one step-daughter, Debbie Plummer of Monett; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Rosemary Brown of Aurora, MO, Shirley Stanley of Illinois and Christin Florist of Carthage, MO; three nephews, Mark B. Choppage, Wayne E. Choppage of Aurora, MO and Jimmy Chastain of Monett.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert Lee Chastain and Kenny Chastain.
Funeral services for Mr. Chastain will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Pastor Rocky Harris will be officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
