Phyllis June (Wolgamott) Collinsworth passed away on June 7, 2020, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri, following the gradual failing health over last few years, at age 69.
Phyllis was born June 28, 1950 in Neosho, Missouri to Raymond and Naomi (Pruden) Wolgamott. She was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Neosho High School in 1968 and pursuing her education with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri Southern State College. Her strong work ethic and dedication were demonstrated through her employment of over 28 years at La-Z-Boy and her latter employment at Central School, Neosho where she was a paraprofessional for 10 years.
Phyllis was well known in her community and by the members of Rocketdyne Church of Christ, where she faithfully taught Sunday School since she was sixteen years old. Phyllis found joy in reading and traveling, but her greatest love was for her family, especially her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sisters, Beverly Davis and husband Jerry of Neosho, Missouri, Ragene Johnson and husband Donnie of Bentonville, Missouri; three nephews Jonathan Davis and wife Michelle, Mark Davis and wife Marla, and Michael Mahurin and wife Amanda; three great nieces, Mattie, Cassie and Paisley; five great nephews, Derrick, Jackson, Jake, Jesse and Brett; one stepson, Paul Collinsworth of Arizona and three stepgrandchildren, Gracie, Jackson and Jamison.
Family and Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 9am-5pm to sign the register book. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10:00am at Memorial Park Cemetery, Neosho, Missouri.
