Vivian Louise Gripka age 94 of Joplin, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center. She was born on November 16, 1925 near Oronogo, Missouri and she was the last survivor of nine children born to William Oscar Evans and Crystal Mae Evans.
Vivian was a resident of the Lakeside community for 90 years. Vivian was a graduate of Carterville High School in 1943.
She married Robert Gripka on June 28, 1947 in Columbus, Kansas, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2012.
Vivian is survived by 2 children, Arnold Gripka and wife Rhonda, Dixie Fasken and husband Bob; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Ozark Memorial Park in Joplin. Friends and family may come by Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City on Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for viewing.
