Russell Scott McAffrey, 55, Neosho, MO entered into rest June 11, 2020. Russell was born May 17, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa to Roscoe and Betty (Patch) McAffrey.
He was a welder and the owner/operator of G. D. Construction. Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the lake, visiting Colorado and Canada, and he especially loved his grandchildren.
He and Cindy Bowman were married December 27, 2002 in Bentonville, AR; she survives.
Russell is also survived by two children, Jacob McAffrey of Nebraska and Heather McAffrey of Goodman, MO; three brothers, Ronnie McAffrey and wife, Carol of Baxter Springs, KS, Rudy McAffrey of Oklahoma City, OK, and Rodney McAffrey and wife, Rachelle of Wyandotte, OK; one sister, Renee McCool and husband, Jim of Pierce City, MO; one sister-in-law, Sally McAffrey of Neosho, MO; and fifteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roy.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Country Charm Venue, 18389 East State Hwy. 86, Neosho, MO.
