Sharon Kay "Sissy" Jones, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital.
Sissy was born June 15, 1950 in Stockton, Missouri, daughter of the late Luther Andrew McMillen and Mary Viola Talbot McMillen.
Sissy worked as a waitress at several restaurants in the Joplin area, and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Jones who passed away on April 27, 2011; two sisters, Kathleen Briggs and Dorothy Fanning, a nephew, Rocky Daniels, and all her brothers.
Survivors include her son, Perry Sloan and wife Alice of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; granddaughter, LaTosha Harris; great-granddaughter, Totiana Harris both of Joplin; sisters, Ruth Adams and Roger, Mildred Pliler, Helen Bitner; nieces, Patty Hansen and Terry, Mary Hardee, Angela Edge all of Joplin; nephews, Bobby Daniels of Joplin, and Damien Daniels and Christina of Kansas City, Missouri; many other extended family members.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
