Jimmie Haworth

Jimmie Rogers Haworth, 85, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center.

Jimmie was born April 4, 1935, in Butterfield, Missouri, to the union of the late Clarence and Opal (Myers) Haworth. He was raised in Butterfield and attended school there. Following school, Jimmie served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at the former Mid-America Hardwood in Sarcoxie for a number of years. Jimmie assisted with flower deliveries for his step-daughter, Janice, and also made bait deliveries. He loved to garden and attending gospel singings. Jimmie loved God and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Carthage.

On February 19, 1993, Jimmie was united in marriage to Lorena (Houck) Robertson and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2012. 








He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edie Lee.

Survivors include five children, Vivian McClelland, Brent Haworth and wife, Chrystal, Ella Harris and husband, Keith, Kent Haworth and wife, Piper, and Dale Haworth and wife, Jessie; 12 grandchildren, Samantha, Josh, Andrew, Caiden, Jessica, Jimmy, Jack, Andrew, Erica, Zane, Alex and Isabella; six great-grandchildren, Azaleen, Zaiden, Lucy, Jocelyn, Ezra and Jaylee; two siblings, Gerald Haworth and wife, Reitha, and Betty Cutbirth; step-daughter, Janice Nixon, and husband, Wayne; two step-granddaughters, Laura and Krystal; four step-great-grandchildren, Khloe, Keagan, Alexus and Jaiden; and a special friend, Janice Brown.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Leann Cemetery near Aurora, Missouri, with Pastor Roy Teed officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Brent Haworth, Dale Haworth, Kent Haworth, Jimmy Haworth, Jack Haworth, Zane Haworth, Andrew Burns and Alex Haworth. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Carthage.
