Beth Williams
(From McQueen Funeral Home)Elizabeth Susan “Beth” Williams, age 68, of Stella, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born March 31, 1953 in Stella, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene and Janis (Pennington) Prewitt. On October 15, 1976 in Ridgley, Missouri she was united in marriage to Cecil Williams, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Wesley and one sister-in-law, Joyce Prewitt.
Surviving her are one son, Chad Williams and his wife Stacey of Stella, Missouri; one brother, Ferman Prewitt of Wheaton, Missouri and one grandson, Noah.
Beth grew up in the Wheaton area, graduating from Wheaton High School. After graduating she began working at the shoe factory then married Cecil and started their family. Later she was employed by La-Z-Boy Midwest Furniture Factory in Neosho as a seamstress. A few of her favorite things to do were reading murder mysteries, going to the lake house with her two best friends and sitting outside enjoying the weather. She loved watching Noah play video games and going cruising with Stacey. She was a very faithful Christian, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and loved to sing. Beth was a member of Ridgley Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2021 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Brother Tony Ball and Pastor Joel Dorris will conduct the service. Burial will be at Union Cemetery south of Stella.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time Friday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to Union Cemetery in memory of Beth.
