(From Parker Mortuary)Lloyd Wayne Frossard, age 77, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Lloyd was born January 19, 1944 in Carthage, Missouri, son of the late John Frossard and Lois Purcell Frossard. He graduated from Duenweg High School, and then joined the United States Army.
After his service to his country, he returned to Joplin where he worked for Central States Steel for a while before starting his career with Tri-State Motor Transit. He worked as a body repairman for aero body where he worked until his retirement.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and her children. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known for his ability to fix anything, especially small engines. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Katrina (Soles) Frossard who passed away April 5, 2015.
Survivors include his daughter, Patti Judy of Joplin; granddaughter, Ashley Cook and husband Scott of Bella Vista, Arkansas, great-grandchildren, Brayden Cook and Brooklynn Cook; brother, Lynnie Frossard and wife Laura of Seneca, Missouri; sisters, Kenda Henson and husband Randy, and Shirley Evans all of Joplin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Alan McCamey officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Cemetery, Diamond Grove, Missouri with Kevin Evans, Brian Evans, Paul Soles, Danny Frossard, Sam Dotson, and Terry Frossard serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
