(From Ulmer Funeral Home)David Michael Wertko, 79, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Carthage, Missouri. He was born June 6, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas to Reverend Mike Wertko and La Rena Florence Allen.
David graduated in 1960 from Beebe High School in Beebe, Arkansas. He entered Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri for a short time right out of high school. David worked various jobs in Arkansas and Oklahoma while traveling with his parents in their ministry.
He moved to Carthage, Missouri in 1965 where he was employed with Carthage Marble Company for about 9 years. David provided music lessons on the steel guitar through the years. His musical gift was an asset to his parents and their ministry.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Mike and La Rena Wertko and his sweet baby sister.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
