(From Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary)Phyllis Rae Perrie, age 82, of Webb City, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Joplin Gardens in Joplin, Missouri.
Phyllis was born September 3, 1939 to the union of James W. Wilcoxson and Joyce L. (Parker) Wilcoxson. She grew up in Joplin, then moved to Columbus, Kansas for a short time.
Eventually she moved back to town and settled in Webb City, Missouri. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved going to the lake with her brother, Jim. She liked watching old classic movies as well as old westerns. She was a member of the Central Assembly Christian Church in Joplin and loved being able to visit with everyone on Sunday’s. She loved dancing and listening to music whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Wilcoxson and her “Momma”, Alice Wilcoxson; brother, James G. Wilcoxson; daughter, Kerrie Box; nephew, Jason Brown.
Survivors include her sister, Joyce Brown; daughter, Linda Williams and husband, John; two granddaughters, Taylor Mitchell and husband, Bruce and Sunday Walton and husband, Michael; four great-grandchildren, Brylee Mitchell, Gentry Mitchell, Bryson Walton and Krew Walton; nephew, Casey Brown and wife, Rachel; great nieces, Maycee Rhodes, Skylar Brown, and Edie Brown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Thornhill-Dillon Chapel in Joplin, MO. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at Thornhill-Dillon Chapel.
