Stephen Dean Gryder, age 54, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Mr. Gryder, son of Elbert and Opal (Cox) Gryder, was born on March 27, 1967, in Merced, California.
On March 26, 1986, he was united in marriage to Joan Lambert in Exeter.
Steve enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing, hunting, boating, and going on float trips, as well as carpentry and wood working. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Some of his most memorable pastimes were working on cars with his boys, spending time with his two precious granddaughters, and tractor time. Steve was a friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joan Gryder, of Shell Knob; his two sons, Bryan Gryder and his fiance Nakita, of Shell Knob, and Andrew Gryder and his wife Maranda, of Garfield, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Freya and Hadley; two brothers, Les Gryder, of Golden, and Dale Gryder, of Aurora; two sisters, Christine Gryder, of Bolivar, and Katherine Gryder, of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd Allen.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob, with Evangelist John Hile officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service time at the White Funeral Home in Cassville on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
Service arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
