(From Parker Mortuary)Douglas E. Berry, age 61, Carthage, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home.
Doug was born March 21, 1960 in Joplin, son of the late Chesley Ray Berry and Marjorie (Snyder) Berry. He grew up in the Joplin area, and graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1978 where he enjoyed being on the football team.
He has worked in construction all his life, mainly as a framer. He enjoyed spending time with family, and will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Berry and Gary Berry, and a nephew, Josh Berry.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Berry; son, Dustin Carpenter (Mycah) of Gallatin, MO; daughter, Chelsie Rae Berry of Carthage; step-daughters, Chrystal Garrison of Carthage, and Jeanna Eads (David) of Grove, OK; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Cremation will follow the service, and private family burial of his ashes will occur at a later date.
