(From Knell Mortuary)James Clint Lewis, 45, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday evening, December 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Clint was born February 15, 1976, in Webb City, Missouri, the son of James Lewis and Jodi Iverson. He was a 1994 graduate from Cunningham High School, and later received his associate degree from Crowder College.
Clint married the love of his life, Margaret Patton, on October 9, 1997, in Miami, Oklahoma. He worked for EMS for 15 years and was a truck driver for Lew Thompson & Son Trucking for 6 years.
He enjoyed being in his shop, working on projects. He loved to star gaze with his wife. He loved to tell stories about his high school football days. But mostly, James loved to spend time with his wife, kids, grandbabies, friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Margaret Lewis; his father, James Lewis; his mother, Jodi Guinn; two daughters, Brandy Moore and Brianna Lewis; a son, Joshua Patton; two brothers, T.J. States and Morgan Schafer; a sister, Tammy Love; brothers-in-law, Louie Patton, Vincent Patton, Michael Patton, Mack Shipp and Keith Enderle; sisters-in-law, Myra Enderle, Carol Shipp, Velda Patton, Sheri Schafer, Gail Patton, Annie States, Leilani Patton; four grandchildren, Kaia McDonald, Lainey Guillen, Kalea Moore, and Lillie Lewis; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Carter Patton.
Funeral services will be held 10 am, Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Faith Life Worship Center, Carthage. Burial will follow the service at Reeds Cemetery, Reeds, Missouri.
