(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Randy William Meyer. 49, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Freeman West Hospital after a short illness.
Randy was born on Thursday, June 1, 1972 in Carthage, Missouri to the union of Carlton and Patricia (Cunningham) Meyer. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. He was currently employed in the maintenance department with Heritage Oak in Sarcoxie where he had worked for many years. He previously had worked seven years for Flex-O-Lator-Leggett and Platt in Carthage.
He enjoyed helping people, hunting, fishing, and small engine repairs. He also enjoyed grilling and was well known for his deer jerky. He truly loved spending every minute with his daughters, Megan and Kaylee. They will always cherish the many hunting and fishing trips with their father. Randy will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his father, Carlton Meyer.
Randy is survived by his loving daughters, Megan Meyer of Nevada, Missouri and Kaylee Meyer of Rock Port, Missouri; mother, Patricia Meyer of Sarcoxie; siblings, Stacy Fox and husband, Josh, of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Russell Meyer of Sarcoxie and a second sister; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Randy are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 in chapel of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Billy Dalton, Jim Babcock, Tommy Jones, Russell Meyer, Caleb Blue and Colten Ogle. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Bittick, Randy Bittick, Bryan Bittick, Rod Filsinger, Josh Fox and Coalsen Norman. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
